Promised Land for the Cowboys

T. Boone Pickens has given Oklahoma State U. $165 million for an "athletic village." In addition to finishing out Boone Pickens Stadium, for which Mr. Pickens gave $20 million three years ago, the money will support a multipurpose indoor practice facility and other venues for soccer, track, tennis, golf, equestrian sports, and baseball. It is by far the biggest single gift ever bestowed upon an athletics department. And he gave cash. Here are some stories about the gift:
