WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: PROTECT COLLEGE SPORTS ACT OF 2026
The Knight Commission produced this educational resource summarizing key components of the Protect College Sports Act of 2026 that was reported out of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation on June 18, 2026, by a bipartisan vote of 19-9. On Thursday, Sept. 17, the Senate voted 77-22 to move the PCSA forward to debate and final vote, prior to its October 5 recess. If the Senate passes the PCSA, the U.S. House of Representatives would then need to take up the bill.
