Chief Operating Officer, Stavvy

Amy Huchthausen is the Chief Operating Officer at Stavvy, a financial technology company building solutions to transform the real estate and mortgage lending industries. She joined the company in August 2021 as its Chief Impact and Culture Officer and transitioned to the COO role after establishing herself as a key asset for the CEO and executive team. In 2022, she was recognized as a HousingWire Insider, representing the top operational all-stars in the housing economy.

Prior to Stavvy, Amy spent over 20 years in the college sports industry. Most recently, she served as Commissioner of the America East Conference for nearly 10 years. During her tenure, she raised the conference’s profile through a progressive strategy focused on the student-athlete experience and by leveraging innovative media and technology partnerships.

She served on the Women Leaders in College Sports Board of Directors and numerous NCAA committees during her college athletics career which included roles with NCAA, ACC, Missouri Valley and Big East. Notably, she was recognized as a Forty Under 40 honoree and Game Changer by the Sports Business Journal and is a past recipient of the Women Leaders in College Sports Nell Jackson Award and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Multicultural Award.

Currently, she is on the Board of Advisors for The Zone, a mental wellness platform for athletes, and is a co-founder of the AAPI Athletics Alliance, an organization focused on supporting the AAPI community in college sports. Additionally, she co-authored, “Women in College Sports: The Three Keys to Getting to the Executive Chair,” which was published in 2021.

Amy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where she played softball. In 2018, she received her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she was named to Poets & Quants Best & Brightest Executive MBAs in the country.
